PLATFORM PROTECTION

Navigating in shallow coastal waters is challenging. Offshore platforms and wind farms are additional hazards, where the consequences of collisions are far reaching for both infrastructure and the environment. HITT Traffic’s Platform Protection System provides effective surveillance by scanning the platform’s surroundings using radar and other techniques and alerting platform personnel and/or the coastguard to potential collisions. Service vessels can be excluded from the alerts. A single platform can watch out for a group, or multiple platforms can be interlinked to reduce personnel needed to keep watch.
