Marine construction contractors laying cables, pipelines or moving rigs must be able to position themselves precisely. QINSy from QPS is an integrated suite of hydrographic applications covering activities from data acquisition to chart production. Its flexibility enables the interfacing of any sensor including GPS receivers, tide gauges, single or multi-beam echo sounders, or side scan sonar systems. Data can be exchanged with many other applications. QINSy enables the use of one software system to collect and process data, and produce charts. Typically the system is used onboard offshore construction vessels, pipe-laying barges, drilling rigs, and hydrographic survey vessels.
